Most Victorian leases that allowed a pet require a flea treatment before the keys go back, and the agent wants an invoice with the property address printed on it. That piece of paper is the most common reason a bond gets held over pest control. The treatment gets done, the address and date go on the invoice, and it goes in with the rest of your exit paperwork.
Book it after the carpets are cleaned and the place is empty. An empty house is the best time for this: full access to skirtings, wardrobes and subfloor, nothing to shift. If there were cockroaches or a rodent problem during the tenancy, get the lot in one visit on one invoice. Student rentals around Waurn Ponds, Grovedale and the Deakin end make up most of this work, and turnaround is usually the same week.
